It's hard to believe we're 15 years old!

So many incredible events have altered our world since 1988: The fall of communism. The end of Apartheid. The ethnic cleansing in Bosnia. The Clinton impeachment hearings. The AIDS epidemic. The Oklahoma City Bombing. The siege at Waco, Texas. The school shootings at Columbine High School. The Gulf War. The O.J. murder trial. The crash of TWA Flight 800. Four presidential elections. The Million Man March. The Los Angeles riots. September 11.

Through all of these events, we have tried to present timely plays that challenge, provoke, engage and inspire our audiences; plays like Aunt Dan and Lemon, Bee-Luther-Hatchee, Black Russian, Drink Me, God's Country, It's All True, Lebensraum, Lonely Planet, Mastergate, Missing Link, Nixon's Nixon, and 6221.

Today, our world is more complicated than ever. International terrorism is on the rise. Violent conflicts have erupted out-of-control in Israel and Kashmir. Religious Fundamentalism is growing rapidly throughout the Islamic world. Disease and civil wars ravage Central Africa. The genetic revolution is just around the corner. And with the blossoming of the Internet we now have access to information about everything and everyone whenever we want.

With all of that in mind, I am pleased to announce the plays in our Fifteenth Anniversary Season: Going to St. Ives by Lee Blessing, Cry Havoc by Tom Coash, and Rosemary by Jim O'Connor. Collectively, these plays examine the conflict between individual morality and acting for the greater good, the complexities of Western attitudes towards "third world" countries, and the lengths to which people will go to keep their private lives out of public view.

I hope you'll join us in celebrating our Fifteenth Anniversary. It promises to be another dynamic season.
